How we work
Three stages, one contact, and reporting against numbers agreed before anyone starts.
Discover
1 to 2 weeksWe work out what the business needs before anyone opens a design tool. Goals, audience, constraints and the numbers that will tell us afterwards whether it worked.
What happens
- Stakeholder interviews and a working session
- Audience and competitor analysis
- Requirements and constraints gathered in one place
- Agreement on the numbers we will be judged against
What you get
A written brief and a roadmap, with the success measures named and agreed.
Design and build
4 to 12 weeksTwo routes, two rounds of refinement, then build. You see working versions throughout rather than a reveal at the end.
What happens
- Two design routes, then refinement on the chosen one
- Build, integration and content loading
- Weekly working versions you can click through
- Testing across devices, browsers and assistive technology
What you get
A finished, tested thing on a staging URL, with the CMS loaded and your team trained on it.
Launch and measure
1 week, then ongoingWe launch, then report against the numbers agreed at the start. If something is not working we say so before you notice.
What happens
- Deployment, redirects and search console setup
- Handover documentation and a training session
- Thirty days of fixes at no charge
- A review at ninety days against the agreed measures
What you get
A live site, a handover pack, and a ninety day review whether or not you stay on a retainer.
Your challenges
10 minsWe ask about your current marketing operations, what is working, what is not, and what you are trying to achieve.
Where we could help
10 minsBased on what you share, we discuss where design, web or marketing work would move the numbers, and where it probably would not.
Potential next steps
10 minsIf there is a fit, we outline what working together looks like and what it costs. If not, we point you in the right direction.
Three ways to work with us. The third exists because not every business that needs a view needs a supplier, and saying so is cheaper for both of us than a project neither wanted.
Project
A defined scope, a fixed timeline and named deliverables, priced up front from the bands above.
- Best for
- A website or store build, a rebrand, a packaging system, a campaign launch.
- Commitment
- Typically 4 to 12 weeks
- Billing
- 40% to start, 40% at design sign-off, 20% on launch
Retainer
Continuous design, development and marketing support against an agreed monthly plan, with a named contact and reporting you can read unaided.
- Best for
- Search and paid media, ongoing content and design, systems that need tuning.
- Commitment
- 3 month minimum, then rolling with 30 days notice
- Billing
- Monthly in advance
Consulting
Direction and a second opinion without the hands. We review what you have, tell you what we would do, and leave your team to do it.
- Best for
- Teams with capability but no clear direction, an audit before committing budget, or a build you want stress tested before it starts.
- Commitment
- A day, a week, or a monthly advisory slot
- Billing
- Day rate or monthly, agreed before we start
Many discovery calls end with us saying you do not need us. That is a good outcome. Here is when we will say it.
- If your budget is below the entry band for what you actually need, we will say so on the call rather than after the proposal. A stretched budget produces a compromised job that neither of us wants attached to our name.
- If you want AI to replace a team rather than take work off one, we are the wrong people. We will tell you where automation earns its place and where it will quietly make things worse, and sometimes the honest answer is that the problem is not a tooling problem.
- If you need someone to execute a decision that has already been made, and what you want is hands rather than a view, you will find us frustrating. We ask why, and we keep asking until the answer holds.
- If you need a full in-house marketing function five days a week, hire one. We are four people and we will tell you when a retainer is worse value than a salary.
